Our plantation is located on the volcanic plains of Retalhuleu, 1148 ft above sea level in south-western Guatemala.
Here in the mountains, the cool temperature slows the ageing process, while the thinner air and lower atmospheric pressure helps intensify the infusion of flavours from the barrels.

Matured in the Solera process with four different Cask types - different former Bourbon Casks, former Oloroso Sherry- and former Pedro Ximénez Sherry-Casks.
Nose: initially sweet aromas of ripe Bananas and Pineapple, behind it soft aromas of mild honey and vanilla
Taste : mouth-filling and creamy - again the bananas and pineapples - then followed by intense notes of dark chocolate and strong toffee - in the background slightly spicy notes of tobacco and leather
Finish: long finish with an elegant, not overloaded sweetness - the fruits and light vanilla tones are present, behind them again the spicy notes
