This is the great benefit of combining single malts from different distilleries; you are not limited to the produce of one distillery. Like a winemaker blending grape varieties, you can create layers of complexity. Peat Monster in its new livery retains the smoky intensity whilst creating a depth and elegance not seen before. To its original exuberant and elemental character, an oilier and creamier style has been added. As with all the Compass Box whiskies, several months of marrying before bottling allow the flavours of each of the whiskies to knit together.

You will find a spectrum of seaside and medicinal peatiness, along with kipper-like smokiness, all surrounding a core of fruity malt whisky character.
