The history of aged rums in Guatemala is strongly linked to the name Botrán, one of the founding families of Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala.
In the mid-20th century, five brothers of the Botrán family from Burgos, Spain, settled in Guatemala. Over time, this family succeeded in perfecting the art of rum production through the combination of old European traditions - as the Solera aging system -, with the use of local resources.

Ron Botran Reserva 15 is aged under the Solera System at 2,400 meters above sea level, in American white oak barrels, new and charred, which previously held American Whiskey and aged old Sherry Wines and finally are placed in Port barrels.

Tasting notes:
Polished mahogany. Dense. Complex and expressive with clear presence of toasted oak and a hint of vanilla. Seductive, dry and explosive. In perfect balance with the notes of the oak barrels where candied fruit flavors and spices emerge.
